Greg Abbott & the Texas Government are threatening to cut funding for Circuit Of The Americas. Circuit of the Americas or "COTA" holds many world-class events throughout the year. Most notably, Formula 1. Every year, people from all across the globe travel to Austin for the United States Grand Pix. Not only does COTA provide world-class events, putting Texas in the global eye, it also stimulates the economy all across the state. If the Texas Govenrnment was to cut funding, the state would see a massive hit in the economy. Not just from spending, but from the loss of jobs that COTA currently provides.
