This does not measure how much patriotism people actually have for the U. S., The law also allows people to not pledge allegiance to the U. S. flag or show any public display of patriotism. Besides, taking an oath or any other action does not prevent anyone from committing violent acts against others - which is the REAL reason sports leagues should be firing employees.
