Plans for inspections in Rockville, Missouri and Roswell, New Mexico have been put on hold, and without new action from Congress, the USDA will soon allow horse inspections to proceed
Horse meat can't be sold in the U.S. for human consumption, but mix-ups can happen. In light of the recent European meat contamination scandal, Congress should consider reinstating the ban on horse slaughterhouse inspections. Please sign the petition to keep horse slaughter illegal in the U.S.!
