There are so few community parks in the areas of McCullough Hills and MacDonald Highlands! Additionally, these areas are going to see significant growth in the next five years. Now is the perfect opportunity to begin developing the community to support this growth. A community park would allow for sports and recreation, family entertainment, and a safe environment for children to play.
Currently, a plot of land sits, nestled between Valare St. and Viento Puntero Dr., on the south side of W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, just waiting for our community to put it to good use. Every day I see people walking their dogs, jogging, or flying kites across this undeveloped pile of dirt. Let's transform it into a place where people can see it for what it is...a great space to spend some time outside.
I am asking that the City of Henderson buy back this plot of land and develop it as a community park. Will you join me?
