Demand the U.S. take stronger action against climate change due to animal-agriculture

We are losing animals at an alarming rate, 1,000x the norm because of human-induced climate change. We know that at LEAST 18% of greenhouse gases come from animal-agriculture, and it may be as much as 25%. We know that global animal agriculture creates MORE greenhouse gases than the entire global transportation sector.

Other countries have identified sustainability within their nutrition guidelines and have imposed a carbon tax on animal-agriculture, a "meat tax." One such country is Denmark. Other scandinavian countries recommend eating less meat and fish due to overfishing.

It is time that the United States congress stop bankrolling in cash from the animal agriculture industry and do what is ethically and morally right for the planet and for climate change. Allow the dietary guidelines and educators to inform the public on the detrimental practices of animal agriculture on climate change.  The Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee wanted Sustainability issues in the guidelines.  But congress disallowed it.

This is IMPORTANT because we want to keep our oceans alive for our children.  We want to keep species alive.  We want to keep our children alive.

If we do nothing, we will kill our oceans. If we kill our oceans, we will kill ourselves.
