Stop Emu Breeding Scams in India!

A recent Ponzi scheme recently left 40,000 to 100,000 emus left starving to death in India while scammers fled with investors' cash. The scammers claimed that breeding emus would make investors wealthy, as they could sell their meat and eggs and turn their hides into leather. Local movie stars publicized the project. Unfortunately, 20,000 investors have lost their cash in the scam and government officials are struggling to save the abandoned emus.

Indians are generally uncomfortable with emu meat and eggs, and there is no demand for them in their country. Emu farms built as part of the Ponzi scheme are poorly designed and constructed, and investors were not educated on how to properly care for the birds.

There is no need for emu farming to continue in India, and allowing the practice will enable future scams of this nature. Please sign the petition to convince the Indian Prime Minister to ban emu farming in India.

To: Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India

We, the undersigned, are concerned with the practice of emu farming in India.

It has come to our attention that a recent Ponzi scheme recently left 40,000 to 100,000 emus left starving to death in India while scammers fled with investors' cash. The scammers claimed that breeding emus would make investors wealthy, as they could sell their meat and eggs and turn their hides into leather. Local movie stars publicized the project. Unfortunately, 20,000 investors have lost their cash in the scam and government officials are struggling to save the abandoned emus.

We understand that Indians are generally uncomfortable with emu meat and eggs, and there is no demand for them in their country. Emu farms built as part of the Ponzi scheme are poorly designed and constructed, and investors were not educated on how to properly care for the birds.

We believe that there is no need for emu farming to continue in India, and allowing the practice will enable future scams of this nature. For the sake of animals and citizens' finances, we urge you to ban the practice of emu farming in India. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider our petition.
