Trump, We Deserve a Good Drug Czar - Withdraw Marino Nomination

President Donald Trump has nominated Representative Tom Marino to head the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (aka the "drug czar.") Since this nomination, the country has learned that Marino was instrumental in getting a law passed that effectively blocked the DEA from preventing opioid sales to doctors who illegally pass on painkillers to dealers and addicts.

Amidst an opioid crisis (Trump himself has pledged to designate it a "national emergency") we need someone in this role who can stand up to big pharma, not take $100,000 in campaign donations to introduce big pharma-written legislation which allows corporations to collect profits at the expense of thousands of American lives each year.
