Stop the Bakken Pipleline

Dakota Access has been permitted to begin construction of the Bakken pipeline, an ecological disaster that will pass through 346 miles and 18 Iowa counties from northwest to southeast. Construction on this misguided pipeline has already begun in North Dakota, South Dakota and Illinois.

It's pretty obvious that a number of Iowans don't want this thing running across or alongside their land. Pam Alexander, who owns two farms that will be adversely impacted believes that nobody stood up for landowners when the decision to allow the pipeline was made. Other farmers anticipate damaged drainage lines and poor crops as a consequence of this pipeline tearing through their fields. Please join me in asking the United States Army Corps of Engineers to halt construction of a hazardous liquid pipeline through Iowa.

Dear United States Army Corps of Engineers:

It is distressing to read that the rights of farm owners in Iowa have been entirely overlooked. Despite the considerable concerns of rural Iowa landowners, Iowa has greenlighted a pipeline that will cross eighteen counties. Landowners legitimately fear what this will do to their crops and their infrastructure. Pipelines like this are also an ecological disaster for soil, water, and wildlife. Please halt construction of a hazardous liquid pipeline through Iowa.
