Change Alexander Street to Susie Jackson Lane.

Susie Jackson was the oldest victim killed in Mother Emanuel A.M.E Church tragedy on June 17, 2015. Susie J. Jackson was born and raised in the City of Charleston, South Carolina. Ms. Susie lived on Alexander Street for over 50 years with all nine of her brothers and sisters, living a few doors down from one another! Susie's son Walter Sr. living out of state would recieve morning calls just to see if he have eaten. On Sunday mornings, Susie Jackson would call all three of her sisters waking them up for church every Sunday morning.

Many Sundays she would walk to and from church if she didnt get a ride, and called every head of the household to remind them to attend church. She rarely missed Bible Study. Susie Jackson,  attended almost every graduation, church event, community event and family functions. She anticipated on meeting and greeting the mail man every day out of the week! Susie Jackson was an Eastern Star and a daughter of Arabian Temple 139. She never missed a meeting and loved the color green.

Everyone in the neighborhood loved and knew Ms. Susie, from standing next to her rod iron gate made by Mr. Phillip Simmons. Ms. Susie Jackson was so proud of her gate made by Charleston's own Rod Iron Black Smith Mr. Phillip Simmons. Her presence was golden in her family and the community! Please join us by signing this petition to change Alexander St. to Susie Jackson Lane.
