Demand the West Australian Government Saves the Ringtail Possum from Extinction

Environmentalists fear the western ringtail possum could be wiped out within decades unless the West Australian govenment intervenes, according to a report on abc.net.au

Much of the possums' habitat has been subject to development. The possum also faces threats from "feral predators, forest dieback and bushfire".

Scientists say "there is a 92 per cent risk of extinction in the next 20 years unless we do something to save this animal."

Will you join me in demanding the WA Government implements an action plan to save the ringtail possum, including a breeding program and a conservation hub targeted at the possums, as well as habitat link-ups and more effective predator controls. Please sign and share the petition.
