Expel Madison Cawthorn

Madison Cawthorn is unfit to serve in Congress.

At a Macon County event on August 30, the NC Representative referred to jailed Jan. 6 terrorists as "political prisoners" and spoke of wanting to "bust them out." He said that the election was stolen, and that Democrats do not have people's best interests at heart, cautioning the crowd that "we all need to be storing up some ammunition."

Even before these reprehensible comments, Cawthorn has proven his unworthiness to serve in Congress multiple times over. He has been credibly accused of sexual misconduct; over 150 of his former classmates at Patrick Henry College signed a letter accusing him of sexually predatory behavior, vandalism, and lying.

He has been exposed for expressing views sympathetic to Nazism, even going as far as posing for photos in front of Hitler's notorious vacation home, The Eagle's Nest, in Germany --  writing that the "Fuhror's" home "did not disappoint."

In the wake of Donald Trump's election loss in 2020, Cawthorn became a leading voice in the "Stop the Steal" movement, culminating in a speech to Trump's supporters at the Jan. 6 rally in D.C. He was one of 147 Republicans who voted against certifying Biden's election win.

Madison Cawthorn is a white supremacist seditionist. He is dangerous to the people around him, and to the country. It's long past time the House leadership use every power at their disposal to remove him from his position.
