In a landmark decision by the Canadian Transportation Agency, Air France was given the go-ahead to stop moving macaques and other non-human primates bound for research laboratories.
Effective December 22, 2012, Air France will require all non-human primate shippers to sign a declaration that the animals are not intended for research or experiments. Air Canada was one of the last major airlines to transport primates for research purposes.
Thanks both the Canadian Transportation Agency and Air Canada for ending this animal suffering in laboratories for reseach that most scientists now use alternatives which are more effective than inhumane animal experiments.
