Stop killing animals by the side of the roads with full intention to run over them with cars

Every day I find animals that are killed in purpose when they were waiting to cross the road in Colorado. Some people will go out of the road into the shoulder to kill them by running over them with their cars. The animals include rabbits, cats, dogs, foxes, prairie dogs, etc. Where is the heart of some people? They are making animals suffer a horrible death and they see them as a pest instead of animals.
