Media discredits the Professional Nurse, Stop the Inaccuracies!

The way others perceive the nursing profession is influenced by what individuals view in the media and on our some of our most popular television shows. Nurses over the years have been viewed as the physician's tasker who play a minimal part in patient care, or as provocative candy stripers, unprofessional, and just misleading perceptions of the professional nurse role. I am a registered nurse, and carry out a multifauceted level of care to many patients, and want to advocate for all nurses and our professional in hopes to conform the ways the profession is viewed. I want to mitigate the inaccuracy and stereotypical portrayels of nurses and how diverse the care we administer is.
