Thank Colorado DA for Prosecuting Police Poaching

On January 1st, an 800 pound male elk (named Big Boy by neighborhood residents) was shot and killed by on-duty police officer Sam Carter of Boulder, Colorado. Off duty police officer Brent Curnow showed up in a pickup truck and took the elk home to butcher it for the meat. Nothing short of illegal poaching.

On January 18, the District Attorney announced that Officers Sam Carter and Brent Curnow were arrested and charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors. Both officers resigned in disgrace from the Boulder Police Department on January 22.

Thank District Attorney Stan Garnett for charging these officers with multiple felonies and misdemeanors for the illegal poaching of this neighborhood elk.
