"Eugene Peltola Jr., who held senior positions with the federal government and was the husband of U.S. Rep. Mary Peltola, has died after an airplane crash in Southwest Alaska. He was 57 years old." (Source)

Representative Mary Peltola is the progressive hero who defeated Sarah Palin to win Alaska's sole congressional seat.

We offer her and her family our deepest sympathy at this profoundly difficult time.
