Stop the Killing of Mountain Gorillas

The decline of population with many animals are because of several attributes such  as pollution, habitat destruction and fragmentation, over harvesting (in the form of illegal poaching), agriculture, and the introduction of diseases. Most animals only have to deal with a couple of these, the Mountain Gorillas have to deal with all of them. Mountain Gorillas are sometimes killed for food, but a more common reason for their deaths are being caught in snares or traps intended for other animals. These animals have also been killed for their body parts, such as heads, hands and feet, which can be sold to collectors for great sums of money. When infants are taken away to go to a zoo, several adult gorillas are killed in the process because they will fight to the death for their infants. After these events, the rest of the remaining gorillas will disband from the group.
To help save these animals there are many things you can do such as helping patrol forests in Africa and arrest and act to take the poachers out of there. You could also help remove traps that are unintended for gorillas but still kill them. All of these actions require quite a bit of work which is to much for many people; one of the most basic things you can do is to simply sign these petition, and take action for these voiceless mammals.
