Please sign and share this petition everywhere possible in our continued efforts to stop dog fighting like this ring that was recently busted in Kodak, Tennessee. People like this suspect need to be severely punished with a felony animal cruelty count for each animal involved, not to mention a ban on coming within inches of any animal for eternity!! Originally, officials only noted 3 dogs on the property as they approached, only to discover, in reality, 50 abused animals. These dog fights have got to stop! Please help in our efforts and gain justice for all the animals involved.

Together with the help of the HSUS Animal Rescue Team, U.S. Marshals and Sevier County's Special Operations Response Team, officials did an investigation on a home on a rural road in Kodak, Tennessee. These departments have obviously been casing this come along with some possible tips and when approaching it, they only noticed just three dogs. However, once they entered the home and property, the team discovered many more dogs cowering in the back of the steep, wooded tract of land, ultimately finding a total of 50 dogs on the property.

Most of the dogs they found were chained to posts driven into the ground, with nothing more than a modified plastic barrel for shelter. Some of the dogs, who ranged in age from four weeks old to mid-teens, had scars consistent with dog fighting. Others showed signs of neglect, with ribs and spine visible, and they needed emergency care. This was a horrific situation that actually took months of investigation; read more and view more photos at http://www.huffingtonpost.com/wayne-pacelle/another-rescue-in-tenness_b_6030978.html.

It has been suspected that the owner of this property was selling dogs on his own website for the purpose of dog fighting but authorities need evidence before they could intervene; and they finally got it. Currently, the suspects name has not been released but we need to ensure he is taken off the streets and banned permanently from animal ownership, care or any other capacity that would put these sweet creatures in danger at his hands or anyone else who helped him in this and other such operations. At least all of these dogs can now get medical attention and hopefully be adopted into good, loving homes.
