Over 1,800 piglets were packed into a truck on a scorching day, only to be left stranded and suffering on a Virginia highway. Hundreds of these piglets had to be rescued by Henrico Fire after their transport vehicle broke down on I-295 — and officials had to intervene just to keep them from overheating and dying.

According to reports, the truck was en route to Iowa from Waverly when it broke down. But why were so many animals crammed into a truck without adequate safeguards in the first place?

Sign the petition to demand that authorities investigate this transport operation and ensure livestock welfare laws are being followed!

What measures, if any, were in place to protect these vulnerable animals from extreme stress and heat exhaustion? And most importantly, were current laws followed, or were they violated?

This is a system that prioritizes profit over life. We must know whether animal transport regulations were met, and if they weren't, those responsible must be held accountable.

Sign now to call for a full investigation into this disturbing incident and demand better protections for animals in transit!
