Demand PTSD Treatment for our Canadian Military and First Responders!

The Stellate Ganglion Block is an injection that has been used in medical practice since 1925 for pain. In the past nine years, the procedure has gained recognition for its abilities to treat Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in the United States of America. Currently, Canada offers the procedure for menopause and pain management but has no plans to expand the treatment to be accessible to survivors of trauma.

The procedure has over a 70% success rate in eliminating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder symptoms for months, even years. It is delivered by injecting a local anesthetic into the nerve bundle, stellate ganglion, located between C6 and C7 vertabrae. This petition asks the Government of Canada:

WHEREAS, the Government of Canada will invest in research on Stellate Ganglion Block and its effectiveness in treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

WHEREAS, the Government of Canada will invest in training medical professionals to administer the Stellate Ganglion Block to individuals with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

WHEREAS, the Government of Canada will allow the Stellate Ganglion Block as a treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, in collaboration with the governments of the Canadian provinces and territories.
