Demand for a Renewable Heating Incentive Scheme in Wales beyond 2022/ Clean Air Act Amendment

When the Governmental RHI scheme ends in March 2022 there is no replacement for it in Wales. In England the Clean Heat Grant will provide an upfront capital payment towards the cost of a renewable heating system. In Wales, rural property owners will struggle to afford green heating.
If Welsh Government are serious about their commitment to clean air, then they need to come up with a replacement for the scheme so people can afford to go green. The RHI has enabled many people to replace their old carbon heating systems and done exactly what the Clean Air Act wants to do. Ask the Welsh Government to act.
