David was killed by a hit and run driver on 214. He was found in a ditch the next day. He was walking home from work at Taco bell. 19 years old. The peninsula was shut down for almost the entire day for an investigation. He was found in a ditch by the trash truck personnel. It took police a year to locate the person who did this and she lives in the penninsula. Davids mom had pictures of her partying and drinking that night. She said she thought that she had hit a deer. Mother was promised a trial. States attorney cut a deal. House arrest I believe for 6 months unsupervised. They waived the 1,000 fine. This child’s life was precious but the states attorney allowed this to happen. His life mattered. It devastated the mom and the community. There was no justice for David. I think this is the third person who was hit and killed and the deer story worked. Ive hit deer before. I have always stopped my vehicle to assess the damage before driving on.
