1278 minke whales were cruelly slaughtered by Norwegian seamen in 2019.
"About 90% of minke whales hunted and killed by Norwegian whaling vessels are females and the majority of those are pregnant," according to EcoWatch.
Because most of the whales slaughtered are female, the species gender balance is severely harmed. This, in combination with the loss of the new generation of whales, escalates the species' decline toward extinction!
Meanwhile, Norway has been steadily paving the way to massacre MORE whales over the last few years...
In 2018, they announced a self-appointed 28% increase in their quota, despite international outrage, according to The Guardian. In 2019 they stayed steady. What will happen in the coming years?
