Stop Senate Overreach: Save Our Democracy

The United States Senate is waging a war on our Democracy. The Senate is, ideally, a deliberative third branch of government--part of the checks and balances system so wisely put in place by our founding fathers.
However, over the last decade or more, the Senate has gone rogue. They have replaced good faith negotiation with automatic obstruction, no matter the issue; have weaponized the filibuster, allowing the Senate to effectively neutralize the checks and balances function of the Judicial as well as of the Executive branches; have changed Senate rules to unfairly take control of the Courts at all levels, allowing them to do the Senate's often widely unpopular legislative work for them---think Citizens United and the gutting of sections 2 and 5 of the Civil Rights act of 1965. Our rogue Senate needs to be held accountable for their undemocratic actions by re-establishing majority-rules democracy.
