REMOVE HOSPICE CAP FROM MEDICARE

right now people get six months of paid (medicare) hospice care. That includes prescriptions, supplies and equipment along with the staff which includes doctors MD, R.N. visits, L.V.N. visits and CHHA visits, and volunteer services and chaplin.
There is a six month cap period which does not allow payment for our patients past the six month period which in fact (if alive) becomes a negative for EVERY hospice company in AMERICA!! We are saving literally millions a day for medicare using hospice . Not fair for families and patient to have to discharge them if they live past the six months paid period. We want that cap removed since patients are living longer and once we pass that six months we have to repay medicare for any payments over the six month period. This is putting good hospices out of company. This needs to change.
