Help us get your favorite spirits ready-to-drink cocktails sold in grocery stores.

Ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails are available in grocery stores in 32 states, but not Oregon. Why not here? Good question.

Similar beer-and wine-based drinks have been right there on grocery store shelves for more than 90 years in Oregon. But even today, you can only buy spirits RTDs in state-controlled liquor stores. You deserve a choice.

Putting RTD cocktails in grocery stores would be more convenient for you, plus it helps Oregon craft distillers sell more of their products. It's a win for you, a win for local businesses and a big win for your next get-together.

MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD and ask legislators to allow spirits RTDs to be sold in Oregon grocery stores alongside beer and wine.
Dear [Legislator],

Why are Oregon consumers like me prevented from purchasing spirits-based ready-to-drink cocktails (RTDs) in grocery stores where beer and wine have been safely sold for more than 90 years?

Allowing spirit RTDs in Oregon grocery stores increases convenience and supports homegrown distillers by fixing this discrepancy and allowing spirits-based RTDs to be sold in Oregon grocery stores. Further, the bill increases funding for state and local governments and supports critically underfunded programs.

Spirits-based RTDs are booming and sold in grocery stores in 32 other states, but in Oregon, we're prohibited from purchasing these products in grocery stores even though they have the same alcohol content as beer and wine already on the shelves. It's time to provide greater access to local Oregon distilleries, increase consumer convenience, and increase revenue for the state.

Allowing spirits RTDs to be sold next to beer and wine in grocery stores would:

•     Provide Oregon consumers greater choice and convenience
•     Support our homegrown Oregon distilleries
•     Generate $37 million in new state and local revenue in just five years

Please support allowing spirits RTDs to be sold in grocery stores.

Thank you for your attention to this issue.

Sincerely,
