Don't Touch Medicare! Seniors are Struggling Enough
Republicans are trying to push through a budget plan that would privatize Medicare and "cut costs." This plan could be devastating to seniors all over the country who are already struggling with high bills and rising medical costs.
This action is not in the best interest of the American people. If politicians are only going to cover the backs of oil companies and the wealthiest Americans, and cut programs that offer critical services to everyday Americans who need them most, these politicians do not deserve to be called representatives any longer.
Speak out and stand strong! Tell your representatives in Congress that you won't stand for the privatization of Medicare.
Dear decision maker,
I am frustrated and distraught about the news that Congress is considering privatizing Medicare. How can the representatives of this country justify taking care of big oil companies and the richest Americans while you leave struggling seniors and everyday Americans behind? It's despicable.
If cutting costs is the reason for this "overhaul," try cutting the subsidies you give to rich companies or asking rich Americans to pay their fair share in taxes. The seniors who require Medicare probably pay more taxes than any of the rich companies and individuals you are protecting.
The strategy for balancing the budget is laughable, and everyday Americans will not stand for it. Do NOT dismantle Medicare.
