For over three decades, our Metro system was something we could be proud of and an iconic symbol of our Nation's Capital. But today, it's no secret that Metro isn't performing the way it should. Reliability, safety, and communication have all suffered. Ridership is down.
We, the undersigned, want to see Metro great again. We call on our leaders in DC, Maryland, and Virginia to come together to provide the funding Metro needs to get back on track.
Metro needs to make a lot of changes, but this is no time for finger-pointing. We not only need to work with Metro on improvements, we need to come together to ensure our leaders in DC, Maryland, and Virginia provide the funding the system needs.
