Don't Let States Obstruct Voter Registration

The health of our democracy depends on eligible citizens having the opportunity to register and vote. But some states are refusing to implement a law that makes it easier for many Americans to register.

The National Voter-Registration Act requires states to offer voter registration services at motor vehicle offices and offices that provide public assistance. The law has been widely implemented at motor vehicles offices, but many states still don't offer voter registration at offices that provide public assistance, thereby limiting low-income and underrepresented minority populations access to register to vote.

Urge the Department of Justice to enforce the motor-voter law in any state that still refuses to extend voter registration services to those who need them.
Dear Attorney General Holder,

The health of our democracy depends on eligible citizens having the opportunity to register and vote. The DOJ must take action to enforce the motor-voter law in any state that still refuses to extend voter registration services to those who need them
