SAVE GINGER an innocent victim of BSL in Ontario

In 2005, Ginger, a brindle, mix breed dog was walking(ON LEASH & MUZZLED) with her owner when she was attacked by an off-leash Border Collie/Shepherd mix dog. The Off-leash dog tore Ginger's muzzle off and caused her a permanent eye injury. In the struggle to separate the dogs, the off-leash dog's owner was bitten by Ginger. NO MEDICAL attention was required for the MINOR injury.
Ginger was, nonetheless seized and illegally held by Animal Control for 3 1/2 years. She is now sentenced to die.
This story is horrifying and outlines why BSL DOES NOT WORK. This dog was a victim of a vicious attack and is now set to die because her physical appearence is that of a "pit bull". Stop the madness in Ontario and HELP SAVE this INNOCENT DOG!!!
Putting an innocent dog to death merely because of it's breed is an unthinkable offense. We ask that you please overlook preconceived notions you may have about Pit bulls and look at the facts. Ginger is an INNOCENT Dog and she does not deserve to die. She was OBEYING the laws of Ontario when she was ATTACKED by a dog that was not. How is killing her providing justice in any way? Please take the right course of action and allow this dog to return home, with her family.
