Appoint a Special Counsel to Determine if Kevin McCarthy Should Face Criminal Charges for Secretly Leaking Jan 6 surveillance Footage to Tucker Carlson

Recently, it was revealed that Kevin McCarthy secretly leaked over 41,000 hours of highly sensitive U.S. Capitol surveillance footage of the Jan 6 insurrection to Fox News' Tucker Carlson.

It may have been done for political reasons, but this is also a huge security risk to lawmakers and Capitol staff. The footage reveals the location of security cameras across the Capitol grounds. It tells future attackers how they can make the next attack even worse.

Which raises the question – should Kevin McCarthy face legal charges? He may be Speaker (barely), but does that give him complete immunity from punishment for putting his colleagues' lives at risk?  If he had given it to a terrorist group, would he still face no consequences? (arguably, that's exactly what he did)

We need a Special Counsel to investigate whether McCarthy should face such charges – and punishment.
