Protecting Hospitals Means Protecting Patient Care

When Sherry Weaver was diagnosed with brain cancer, her doctor and the radiation treatment team at New York Methodist Hospital were the first to use the word "cure," and to give her hope.

Every morning for six weeks they sat together while she received treatment, sharing stories and forging an incredible bond. This radiation "dream team," as Sherry calls them, cared for her body and mind though one of the scariest periods of her life.

America's hospitals are there for Sherry, and all of us, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. But in Washington, they're always on the chopping block. Massive federal cuts to hospitals—$121.9 billion since 2010, and counting—make it harder for Sherry's "radiation dream team" to do their jobs.

Sherry's radiation "dream team," and others like them, can't afford another dollar in funding cuts.

We can't allow Washington to continue slashing hospitals. Let your members of Congress know that protecting America's hospitals means protecting patient care.
