Stand with Ryan Mello Against Oil and Coal in Tacoma

On August 15th Tacoma Councilman Ryan Mello met with the Port of Tacoma and bravely urged them to put an end to oil and coal projects and seek out a cleaner path. "The port should chase "clean, high-paying jobs" with a look to the future instead of Tacoma's polluted past".

The people of Tacoma have spoken loud and clear that they don’t want a polluted future and have proven that when their voices are heard they can stand up to fossil fuel companies. Just this year after months of community led protest, Tacomans successfully pushed back what would have been the largest methanol plant in the country. We couldn't agree more with Councilman Mello that Tacoma deserves a clean energy future.

Stand with Councilmember Ryan Mello and tell the Port to invest in Tacoma’s clean energy future and keep fossil fuel projects "off the table".
