The trade in legal rhino horns from rhino breeders is absolutely shameful. Making the sale of rhino horn legal is likely to provide a smokescreen for rhino poachers. The poachers will use the legal trade of rhino horns as a cover for poaching and other illegal activities. In the words of Will Travers, a conservationist and wildlife expert, this could put all rhinos "at risk of their lives".
