For those living in the Great Lakes States of: Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, Ohio, Ontario, Manitoba and the Six nations of the Grand River indigenous reserve in Ontario, Canada, accessing safe water is a constant struggle.The nearest running water is eight kilometers away, but even that water is considered unsafe. To get water they can actually drink, residents must drive to the next town and buy bottled water. The Six Nations of the Grand River indigenous reserve is literally being sucked dry by Nestlé.
With the constant siphoning off of OUR fresh waters the last greatest Bastian of fresh water in the world risks going away permanently! When it's gone that's it it's gone!
Sign this petition to demand that the State of Michigan and Minnesota and Canadian government revoke Nestlé's permit to take waters from Six Nations land. And leave!
While Nestlé extracts millions of liters of water every day out of Six Nations land, the indigenous residents are forced to collect rainwater just to survive. They are unable to use the water on their own land because the Canadian government decided it was OK for Nestlé to pump it all out for profit.
In Michigan the communities where the siphoning is occurring have seen environmental damages, disruption of there economy and their well water.
It is criminal that the residents of Six Nations and great lakes have their waters stolen from them and then sold back to them in plastic bottles that end up in our Great Lakes and oceans!; causing a huge environmental problem! Neatle knows this, but conveniently avoids such topics.
Sign this petition to demand the Governor's of Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, Ohio, Wisconsin and the Prime Minister of Canada take immediate action to end the water crisis created by these governments now!
