Demand Congress pass legislation that requires pharmaceutical distribution outlets provide recycle bins for expired and unused medicines.

Our groundwater is being polluted with unused and expired pharmaceutical products that are dumped in sinks and toilets. It is time Congress act to require pharmaceutical distribution outlets to provide consumers with convenient bins for recycling unused and expired pharmaceutical products. In Brazil, all pharmacies are required to have recycle bins for consumers to dispose their unused medicine in a convenient manner in order to keep them out of the municipal water systems.
