Reduce NHS Waiting Times for Transgender People

The waiting time for a transgender person seeking specialist support from the NHS is often unacceptably long. "The average wait from receiving a GP referral to getting a first appointment is 18 months." [BBC].

Timely NHS support is an issue of life or death for many trans people. The suicide rate of trans people is high, and receiving specialist NHS support quickly may make suicide less likely for some trans people.

Sign now to demand the Health Secretary provide sufficient funding to enable specialist services for transgender people to reduce waiting times significantly.
