Urge the new EPA Administrator to take strong action on our environment!

There's good news to share! Michael Regan, who has led the NC Department of Environmental Quality since 2017, has now been confirmed by the U.S. Senate to lead the nation's Environmental Protection Agency. It's exciting to see a North Carolina native and environmental leader as the head of the EPA!

We invite you to join us in congratulating Michael Regan on his confirmation as EPA Administrator and urge him to take strong action to protect our environment, especially on critical issues such as climate and clean energy, environmental justice, and toxic chemicals.

During a speech in December, Administrator Regan stated "We will be driven by our convictions that every person in our great country has the right to clean air, clean water and a healthier life, no matter how much money they have in their pockets, the color of their skin or the community that they live in."

Let's show EPA Administrator Regan that we support those beliefs as well. Sign the petition today!
We, the undersigned North Carolinians, would like to congratulate you on your confirmation as Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Like you, we believe that everyone has the right to clean air and water.

As you lead our nation's environmental agency, we urge you to stay committed to bold action to protect clean air, clean water, and healthy communities. This should include:

  *   strong action to stop the use of "forever chemicals" known as PFAS,
  *   using all the powers at EPA's disposal to make President Biden's 100% clean energy by 2035 goal a reality,
  *   protecting low income and communities of color that are disproportionately impacted by polluting industries,
  *   committing to combat causes of climate change and make our nation more resilient to extreme weather.

We're glad to see a fellow North Carolinian lead the EPA and we hope to see your agency take bold steps forward under your leadership.
