Tell Advertisers: Drop Fox!

It goes without saying that Fox "News" is a misnomer. Instead of reporting the "fair and balanced" news stories, it broadcasts misrepresentations, propaganda and outright lies.

This blatant and often hateful partisanship has serious consequences off the airwaves. After being vilified for months by Glenn Beck, employees the Tides Foundation were targeted by a violent Beck disciple. Thankfully, he was arrested by police before he could carry out his planned murders, but it just serves as one example of the potential danger of Beck's -- and Fox News' -- lies.

Any advertiser that buys slots on Fox News is implicitly giving their support to these radical and hate-filled shows and views by pumping money into the network. It is irresponsible for any business to continue to sponsor Fox News' propaganda and hate speech.

Urge advertisers to take a stand against this deplorable conduct and drop Fox.
Dear Fox Advertiser,

I agree with Tides Foundation CEO Drummond Pike:

"Businesses that pay to broadcast commercials on Fox News are subsidizing Glenn Beck's television show by continuing to pump money into the network. It has become clear that the only way to stop supporting Beck is to stop supporting Fox News.

"I respectfully request that you bring this matter of your company's sponsorship of hate speech leading to violence to the attention of your fellow directors as soon as possible. I believe no responsible company should advertise on Fox News due to its recent and on-going deplorable conduct."
