Stop corporate logging in the Tongass forest

Alaska's Tongass National Forest is one of the world's most important buffers from climate change. The old-growth trees in the Tongass store nearly a billion tons of carbon, keeping the heat-trapping element out of the atmosphere and reducing the impacts of global warming.

For decades, corporations have tried to chop down the Tongass' trees for logging — but Earthjustice has wielded the power of the law to stop them.

Now the Tongass is facing its greatest threat yet.

Critical safeguards against logging have recently come under attack in the Tongass, and more than 9 million acres of this incredible forest could be at risk. We need to know if you'll be there with us to fight back. Add your name if you're committed to protecting one of our country's most important resources.
