Employers Check Web Profile to Deny You Job

  • by: Rights

If you've been denied a job, it is likely the employer checked your online profile somewhere and did not like what they saw. Perhaps you've signed a petition on this site, or you're part of a church group or you took a photo next to wonder woman at comic con! This common practice by employers is unethical and needs to stop.
The internet gives you freedom but employers can use it against you. This invades you personally and your profile should not be used against you. Might as well not be a member of Facebook, MySpace or any social network at all. If employers use it against you, those social network sites should have zero members, or you can gain support and do something to stop it.
It's not legitimate!  Spread the word to stop employers from denying you a job by checking your online profile - then worse enough hire someone with a "clean" profile or "no" profile, but later steals from them or worse. Not legitimate!

Please join together and spread the word. Stop this type of unethical checking!
