Help To Save WalMarts Crafts, Notions / Fabric Section

Mr. H. Lee Scott, Jr.

President and Chief Executive Officer

Wal-Mart Stores

Dear Mr. Scott: Greetings.
It has come to our attention through employees at your stores, that the Department at our local WalMarts which sell fabric, notions, embroidery floss, yarn, needles, thread, knitting needles and crochet hooks and all items that are crafts will be disappearing. That it has been a choice you have made.

We want to protest against that closing. Not only because it would possibly cost local jobs, but because it will take away merchandize that we buy often. We urge you to reconsider and allow that Dept. to continue as it has till now and that you do not reduce it in size, variety of merchandize or quality. And that you DON'T CLOSE IT DOWN. If profits are your only concern, we want to remind you that  Martha Stewart has done very well while focusing in serving the crafts community.
Do not take us for granted, others do not.
Additionally, some of us do charity work and WalMart has always boasted of serving the community. How will it make the company look when you shut down a section of the store we need to be able to crochet for orphan children, like I also do and many others? It will, of course, not be the best PR possible.

Please reconsider your plan Mr. Scott, and leave that Department open in all your stores.
Thank you!

Sincerely,
