Investigate Death of Animals at Animal Ark For Resolutions & Possible Accountability

Please sign and share this petition everywhere possible as we encourage officials at the Animal Ark to fully investigate the death and illnesses of several of their animals to determine if there was foul play involved. Thus far, it is suspected that two animals died from doses of barbiturates and one other animal was desperately saved by vets due to the same concern. Something is definitely not cosier.
Lab results are still pending at the Animal Ark to determine what killed a wolf and tiger while causing a cheetah to be deathly ill. Officials stated that the 3-year old wolf and 21-1/2 year-old tiger were recently found dead at the sanctuary north of Reno while the young cheetah was seriously ill but did survive after immediate medical intervention. The investigation thus far states that "a heavy dose of barbiturate" from an undetermined source is suspected.
Barbiturates are a depressant-type of drug and traces of the drug was found in the urine of the treated cheetah. No one knows for sure why the animals ingested these drugs or where they got them from. The administrative manager at the Animal Ark states, during the investigation, that "The only two things we have been able to rule out is an infectious agent and somebody breaking into the property and intentionally directly poisoning these specific animals. All three of these are carnivores and eat raw meat diets."
Where would the animals ingest drugs unless they were intentionally administered, whether it was in their food or other source. Experts have been consulted from Northern Nevada and at the National Animal Poison Control Center were consulted in order to determine what and why this would happen to these animals. We are encouraging these organizations and the sanctuary to go further into the investigation to determine why or how these animals were given these drugs and who could be responsible and held accountable with animal cruelty charges! Officials of The Northern Nevada, National Animal Poison Control Center and Animal Ark Wilderness Sanctuary - Please ensure you do a thorough investigation in a timely manner to determine cause of death and illness of the cheetah, wolf and tiger in your care before more disasters occur with surviving animals. It is pretty obvious that these animals would not have access to any type of drugs unless foul play is involved. Ensure you find the cause of death and illness and who was responsible for subjecting these animals to any type of drug. Such a person or persons needs to be held accountable and fully charged with animal abuse and cruelty. Your sanctuary should be a safe haven for the animals in your care and not a place to be subjected to any type of cruelty and abuse
