Tortured Animals, Victims of Cruel Puppy Mills, and More Are About to Get Justice in Connecticut

It's about to become a lot harder to abuse animals in the state of Connecticut.

That's according to new plans offered by Senate Democrats in the state, who plan to pass laws that would implement more substantial penalties for puppy mills and torturing animals.

This could be an amazing victory, except that the Connecticut legislature has offered no timeline for when the new laws would be introduced. We must encourage these legislators to act quickly – at-risk animals can't wait any longer!

Sign now to tell the Connecticut legislature to pass these stronger animal abuse laws now!

Between 2011 and 2021, a whopping 80% of animal abuse cases were either dismissed or not prosecuted whatsoever. This means that the vast majority of people who hurt animals never suffer any consequences for their horrific actions. It is time that the state of Connecticut does their part to change this toxic culture of animal abuse.

We know that bans on animal ownership and mandatory counseling for people who have committed these atrocities can be very effective at protecting any more animals from suffering in the future. Mandating penalties like this could be a game changer for reducing abuse overall.

We must legally protect the innocent animals who cannot speak on their own behalf. Connecticut must pass these stronger animal abuse laws as soon as possible! Sign the petition now if you agree!
