Keep Kids Healthy, Nourished and Thriving

Last year's funding cuts kicked over 5 million people off the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Now, an unprecedented cost shift is threatening more families' benefits.

Our nation's most vulnerable children could lose access to consistent, nutritious food – putting their health and development at risk.

Kids can't thrive when they're hungry. Urge Congress to protect SNAP and fight child hunger!

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a lifeline for our nation's most vulnerable families, helping 16 million kids stay healthy, nourished and thriving.

But states are facing an unprecedented SNAP cost shift that could threaten future access to these critical benefits. As a Save the Children Action Network advocate, I urge Congress to act swiftly in providing all states with a two-year delay of the looming SNAP cost shift.

The SNAP cuts included in last year's budget bill are impacting significant numbers of kids. Over 5 million people – including roughly 1.5 million children – have already lost access to food assistance. Without urgent action, we expect this number to climb.

By delaying the impending benefit and administrative cost shift without placing further financial strain on states, Congress can protect SNAP participation, prevent staffing shortages and ensure this program continues to support America's kids and local economies.

Thank you for protecting SNAP and fighting food insecurity!
