This bipartisan legislation would modernize the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC).
WIC provides nutritious food, health screenings and critical care to 6.7 million moms, newborns and toddlers – improving pregnancy, breastfeeding, nutrition and health outcomes across the nation.
To ensure support is accessible to every vulnerable family, we must make virtual certification permanent. Over 1 in 20 rural households don't own a working vehicle, making in-person registration incredibly difficult.
Reducing barriers to access WIC will help us better meet busy families' needs, protecting the program's integrity and 50-year track record.
