Support strong vaccine policies that protect South Carolinians. Take action now!

A statewide measles outbreak recently reached nearly 1,000 cases — and it didn't have to happen. Measles was once considered eradicated in the United States. It's back because vaccination rates have declined.

When we keep vaccination rates high, we protect everyone — not just those who are vaccinated, but our whole community. But when those rates fall, dangerous and preventable diseases can spread fast.

Send a letter today and tell your lawmaker to protect vaccine access in the Palmetto State!

Time-tested policies that enable vaccination and protect access to proven, safe immunizations are critical to limit the spread of dangerous, preventable illnesses. Widespread immunization keeps our kids in school, our neighbors and loved ones healthy, and our businesses and communities thriving.

South Carolina legislators are making decisions right now that could weaken our state's vaccine policies, and we can't afford to risk another massive outbreak. It's time to get back to common sense and protect access to lifesaving vaccinations.

Your voice matters. Tell your lawmakers: we need proven vaccine policies to keep South Carolinians safe.

As your constituent, I'm writing to urge you to support proven vaccine policies and protect South Carolina communities from additional outbreaks of dangerous preventable illnesses.

South Carolinians across the state support protections for vaccines. According to a 2026 CYGNAL survey of South Carolina primary voters, 80% support state policies that ensure access to vaccines, and 70% support statewide vaccine requirements.

Proven policies that enable vaccination and protect access to vaccines keep our kids in school, our neighbors healthy, and our communities safe. When those protections are dismantled, dangerous and preventable diseases can spread quickly, putting everyone's health at risk and impacting our local economy.

Across all vaccine-preventable diseases, the CDC estimates that childhood vaccinations have prevented over 508 million illnesses and saved $2.7 trillion in societal costs among children born since 1994. At the same time, lost productivity and public health containment measures from measles outbreak have generated costs of over $50,00 per case.

The local measles outbreak is a warning we shouldn't ignore. Measles was once eradicated in this country. It returned because immunization rates fell, and the consequences for your constituents were serious. I urge you to oppose any legislation that would weaken our state's vaccine policies or reduce vaccination rates.
