Tell Congress to Fund Alzheimer's Research!

For too long, we've felt despair in the fight to stop Alzheimer's disease.

But there's reason to be hopeful. We're turning a corner and we need your help to keep up our momentum. 2020 is the year that we have committed to finding an effective means of treatment or prevention for Alzheimer's. This year is poised to be a turning point in the battle against Alzheimer's.Here's why. For the first time in 15 years, a new drug for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease is expected to be sent to the FDA for review. Another drug that treats dementia-related psychosis is also expected to be submitted for FDA review, with a drug to treat dementia-related insomnia already cleared for use. And another Alzheimer's treatment that has already been approved in China should soon be starting clinical trials in the U.S.

These drugs are just the beginning — a welcome beginning — of finally bringing an end to Alzheimer's disease.

But the fight is far from over.

Tell Congress: Support the Roadmap for America to Fight Alzheimer's

We're fighting to:
  • Accelerate a cure for Alzheimer's disease by increasing National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding for Alzheimer's research by $354 million for FY 2021
  • Encourage early detection and diagnosis and increased access to interventions by passing the CHANGE Act
  • Urge the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to expedite review of Alzheimer's drugs
  • Advance a comprehensive national policy on paid family and medical leave for caregivers
  • Champion brain health equity for women and communities of color and increased access at every level of the healthcare system
Dear decision maker:

Alzheimer's disease is the third leading cause of death in the United States, and the only top-10 deadly disease with no treatment or cure. We need Congress to take action now to provide lifesaving research and treatment for millions of families affected by Alzheimer's disease. I call on you to:

  • Accelerate a cure for Alzheimer's disease by increasing National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding for Alzheimer's research by $354 million for FY 2021

  • Encourage early detection and diagnosis and increased access to interventions by passing the CHANGE Act

  • Urge the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to expedite review of Alzheimer's drugs

  • Advance a comprehensive national policy on paid family and medical leave for caregivers

  • Champion brain health equity for women and communities of color and increased access at every level of the healthcare system
