Take a Stand Against Sexual Assault Across Campuses Nationwide, Support CASA!

"This is not a story of another drunk college hook-up with poor decision making. Assault is not an accident."

Brock Turner, a Stanford college student, sexually assaulted an unconcious woman behind a dumpster at a frat party. This woman's moving letter read aloud to her attacker exposes the raw details of the pain she has endured from the attack and throughout the entire process. This included discovering what had happened to her own body through a news article.. the same article that discussed her rapist's swimming times.

While most incidents are unreported, at least one in four women experience sexual assault at college campuses, according to the Bureau of Justice statistics.

Rape is being handled poorly on college campuses, but the Campus Accountability and Safety Act (CASA) has the power to change that. The issue of sexual assault on campus across the United States can no longer be ignored.

CASA is a bill that “would allow the Department of Education to fine schools up to 1 percent of their operating budget for violations of Title IX, the gender equity law requiring schools to handle sexual assault and harassment reports.”

School campuses should be doing everything in their power to provide a safe place for all of their students.

Colleges can no longer sit idly by and do nothing while sexual assault continues to be an issue. Please sign and tell Congress to take a stand against sexual assault... tell Congress to pass CASA!

I strongly urge you to take a stand against sexual assault and pass the Campus Accountability and Safety Act as one in four women will experience sexual assault at college.

Congress, and schools across the nation can no longer tolerate or "look the other way" with sexual assault.
