Have a Heart for Kids!

By age 5, 90% of a child's brain is already developed.

That's why early learning is a child's best shot at a bright future.

But too many families can't afford quality child care… and our nation is paying the price.

To help address this, Congress must pass the Child Care Modernization Act.

This legislation will improve child care quality and availability, expand access to affordable programs and ensure children have safe, nurturing places to learn.

Investing in early childhood education builds safer communities with higher graduation rates, better economies and a stronger child care workforce.

This Valentine's season, tell Congress to have a heart for kids!

Dear [Elected Official],

90% of a child's brain is developed by age 5. It's a critical window for kids' cognitive, social and emotional growth – but millions are left behind because their families can't afford early learning.

That's why Congress must pass the Child Care Modernization Act.

In addition to reauthorizing the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG), this legislation will improve child care quality and availability, expand access to affordable programs and ensure children have safe, nurturing places to learn.

CCDBG doesn't just prepare kids and working families for success. Every $1 invested in early childhood programs returns up to $13 by strengthening the childcare workforce, boosting local economies, reducing poverty and lowering crime rates.

When we fund early learning, we fund our nation's future – because investing in kids is investing in America.

Please, have a heart and help every child thrive!

Sincerely,
